Local Calendar

Forever Young Model Management have just launched two swimsuit calendars comprised of both their male and female models. We speak with Director, Michelle Young, about the passion behind the project.

Hi Michelle. How long have the Forever Young Modeling calendars been in the making?

This has all happened really quickly. We have only been working on it for the last eight weeks!

You have sourced local models and researched specific locations in the Manning Great Lakes for the photo shoots. Was keeping the theme local important to you?

Absolutely. We have some very beautiful, talented people in our area, along with incredible locations. I love our piece of paradise and I wanted people who lived out of the area to see what we have to offer. Even as a local, I was amazed at some of the hidden, magical places we have around us. I had no idea we have caves at Mud Bishops!

You have put together a female and a male calendar. Why both?

Originally we were only going to shoot one calendar with both guys and girls together. As word got out, the demand grew to include a second calendar. It also gave us some awesome new talent to add to our books.

The FYM calenders will be launched just in time for the new financial year. Where will the launch be and what is planned?

We decided to make this a financial year calendar simply because there weren’t any others out there, and there was a large market that needed to be catered for. It also gives us the opportunity to shoot our next project in time for Christmas.

We are using the calendars, not only to launch the opening of Forever Young Management, but to introduce to everyone our amazing talent. We have decided to hold the launch at the stunning Rydges Resort.

The evening will be a fantastic opportunity for our models to meet and mingle with an eclectic group of industry guests. It will also be the first time that everybody from the FYM team will all be together at once! After completing this incredible (and exhausting) project, everyone will be looking forward to letting their hair down and enjoying the night.

This night is also my way of saying a huge THANK YOU to absolutely everyone involved.

Tell us about the team that helped to put together the calendars …

One of the great things about putting this together in an area like ours, is the fact we are have a fabulous group of local businesses who are more than willing to get behind and support local people. We have been incredibly lucky to have Focus sponsoring the calendars, with the genius that is Candice Rose behind the lens. My assistant, Ray Bisby has also been a gem, keeping me sane (and making copious amounts of coffee). Joanne from Iguana Taree and Forster has kitted everyone out with funky streetwear and sexy swimmers. Deb from Expert Tan Old Bar has made everyone glow like the gods and goddesses they are, with her amazing spray tan. Barclay Marine have not only let us use one of their incredible boats to shoot on, but were also our Forster water taxi. Forever Young Management have transformed our already beautiful girls into stunning sirens.

The professional team at Sunne Printing Taree (big thanks to Kellie and Mandy) for their design and printing. And last but not least, my ever patient fiance Johnny, who was also our location scout finding all our secret hidden places.

Describe the calendars for us. Are they a bit racy for the general public?

I am extremely passionate about promoting healthy body image for not only young girls, but for everyone. I want to show everyone that all body shapes and sizes can be beautiful and sexy, no matter what the media tell us. So long as you are healthy, happy and confident you will be beautiful.

As for being too racy, no I don’t think so. Sexy, yes. Tasteful, yes. Artistic, yes. Promoting healthy, beautiful people, absolutely. Too racy, I think definitely not!

The beauty about using local models for this shoot is that they’re passionate and proud of their local area. This is one of the reasons that they were so keen to do this.

Where would you hang these calendars?

Being a financial year calendar, it’s perfect for all offices. These are definitely calendars that should be on display for all to see. Not only should all guys have one for their shed, but all salons need one for their clients to ‘appreciate’. Makes a great gift idea!

Where can we buy them?

Old Bar Newsagency, Ashlea Road Boutique Old Bar & Wingham, Martines Cafe Old Bar, Expert Tan Spray Tanning Old Bar, Perfect Fingernails Taree, John Osborne Spectacle Makers Taree, Lamberts Quality Meats Taree.

For a full list of outlets, go to the Forever Young Management facebook page, or contact Michelle Young on 0402 703 057. Calendars retail at $25.

Thank you Michelle!
